ccRCC is charcoal drawings depicting detailed tissue samples of clear cell kidney cancer. The charcoal drawings arose through meditative work to, by movement of the hand, try to approach the illness that claimed the life of my mother. Lines and surfaces, the white paper, bodies of water in an archipelago. The crowded world and the emotions are realities. Nietzsche wrote: “if you gaze long into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.”
